Twisted Engineering receives all of our hand laid OG Original Jute directly from Mocojute in its raw and unconditioned state, allowing us to condition each rope from scratch. After being conditioned, each rope is treated with the same Rope Care products Jedi uses to treat his own personal ropes. Finally each hank is finished with our signature thistle knots to add a little extra security while in use.

Each hank undergoes two independent friction polished stages, in which is also singed over an open flame in between. This process softens the rope while removing the maximum amount of stray fibers. | Oiled Jute uses Rope Oil to penetrate deep into the rope, lubricating the natural fibers, allowing them to bend rather than break. Waxed Jute has an additional protective coating of Rope Wax over top the Rope Oil to encapsulate the rope, helping to keep the good moisture in and the bad moisture out, all while reducing contact friction. | Each hank terminates on either end with a signature thistle knot. |
